Method and arrangement for operating a switching network

The coupling network establishes a connection network among a number of coupling modules (SM11-SM34).
The connection network has a switching unit (SE) for switching several inputs to several outputs.
Several coupling modules are connected together via the switching unit (SE) corresponding to a logic connection structure.
Each coupling module is either connected to the input or output leads of the switching unit.
The latter is formed such that it reconfigures the connection structure according to requirements.
